What it was
Accelerators for high-school founders are mostly either free and unserious, or priced for parents. batch0 is a four-week cohort program that ends in a demo day judged by actual investors, priced so a teenager can pay for it out of their own money. I co-founded it.
I built the whole system behind it: the marketing site, the application flow, the student dashboard, the mentor tooling, and the admin side that actually runs a cohort. Next.js and Supabase. Roles are database rows rather than hard-coded strings, so adding a new kind of mentor is a row, not a deploy. I also wrote the marketing execution plan the first cohort was filled with.
One cohort has run end to end. Since then the program has kept going between cohorts — Second Nature was an online hackathon we ran for context-aware AI, judged on software that uses voice and vision rather than a prompt box.
